Here’s just a small selection of my favourite Great War related sites:
The Western Front Association (WFA) is a brilliant educational organisation with many free articles and resources available on their website. They often hold lectures and commemorative events. Become a member (like me) if you wish.
WW1 Revisited (Paul Reed) is a new centenary website on which Military Historian Paul Reed re-visits what is left of the Old Front Lines with photography.
The long, long trail is a first stop destination for researching army units or to gain general context about the army in which your relatives served.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is the excellent organisation that looks after all the commonwealth war cemetery’s from the two World Wars around the world. If you are researching a soldier or just wish to know more about their work, this should be your first stop.
If you have any suggestions or would like me to list your site here then please contact me
